Welcome to Rootsy, a Canadian online marketplace connecting shoppers with independent Canadian businesses.

Creating a buyer account on Rootsy is quick and straightforward. Once registered, you can explore products, shop from Canadian sellers, and access available account and order-management features.

Follow the steps below to create your account and start shopping.

Step 1: Visit the Rootsy Website

1. Visit www.rootsy.ca.

2. Locate the Login button in the top-right corner of the homepage.

3. Click Login to open the buyer sign-in page.

4. At the bottom of the login form, find Don't have Account?

5. Click Create New to open the buyer registration form.

Step 2: Enter Your Personal Information

Complete the following fields on the registration form:

1. Your Name: Enter your name.

2. Email Address: Enter a valid email address that you can access.

3. Number: Select the appropriate country code and enter your mobile phone number.

4. New Password: Create a password for your Rootsy account.

5. Confirm New Password: Re-enter the same password to confirm it matches.

All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.

Tip: Use an active email address and phone number so you can receive important information about your account, purchases, and customer support requests.

Step 3: Review and Accept Rootsy's Terms

Before completing your registration:

1. Review Rootsy's Buyer Terms & Conditions.

2. Read the Privacy & Cookie Policy to understand how your information is handled.

3. Select the checkbox confirming that you agree to these documents.

You must accept the applicable terms before proceeding with registration.

Step 4: Complete Your Registration

Once you've entered your details and accepted the terms:

1. Review your information to ensure everything is correct.

2. Confirm that your password and confirmation password match.

3. Click NEXT to continue.

4. Once registration is successful, you will automatically be signed in to your Rootsy buyer account.

5. You will be redirected to the Rootsy homepage, where you can begin browsing products and shopping.

Please note: Rootsy currently does not require an additional two-factor authentication step during buyer registration.

You do not need to log in again immediately after successfully creating your account.

Step 5: Sign In to Your Account Later

If you log out or return to Rootsy later, you can sign in using your registered email address or mobile number.

1. Visit www.rootsy.ca.

2. Click Login in the top-right corner.

3. In the Mobile Number or Email field, enter your registered email address or mobile number.

4. Enter your password in the Password field.

5. Click LOGIN.

Once authenticated, you can continue using your Rootsy account.

Sign In with Google

Rootsy also offers a Login with Google option on the buyer login page.

To use this option:

1. Open the Rootsy login page.

2. Click Login with Google.

3. Follow the Google sign-in instructions.

4. Complete any additional steps displayed on the screen.

The availability of this option may depend on your existing account and the Google account you select.

Step 6: Start Shopping on Rootsy

Once you're logged in, you can begin exploring the marketplace.

You can:

• Browse products from independent Canadian sellers.

• Search for products using the search bar.

• Explore available shopping categories.

• Review product descriptions, pricing, and available options.

• Add products to your shopping cart.

• Proceed to checkout when you're ready to make a purchase.

• Access available account and order-management features.

Remember: Rootsy supports Canadian businesses, but not every product listed on Rootsy is necessarily manufactured in Canada. Check the individual product listing for origin information.

Forgot Your Password?

If you've forgotten your password, you can begin the recovery process through the Rootsy login page.

1. Visit www.rootsy.ca.

2. Click Login.

3. Select Forgot Password.

4. Follow the password recovery instructions displayed on the screen.

For security reasons, never share your password or account verification codes with anyone, including Rootsy Customer Support.

Are You Registering as a Seller?

Rootsy provides a separate registration and login experience for sellers.

If you're interested in selling products through Rootsy:

1. Open the Rootsy buyer login page.

2. Click Are you a seller? Login Here.

3. Follow the seller login or registration process.

Troubleshooting Buyer Registration

If you're having difficulty registering or signing in, try the following:

Registration form isn't proceeding

• Confirm that all required fields are completed.

• Make sure your email address and mobile number are entered correctly.

• Check that your passwords match.

• Ensure you've accepted the Buyer Terms & Conditions and Privacy & Cookie Policy.

Unable to sign in

• Check that you're using the correct registered email address or mobile number.

• Ensure your password is entered correctly.

• Use the Forgot Password option if needed.

Website isn't loading correctly

• Refresh the webpage.

• Check your internet connection.

• Try an updated browser.

• If the problem continues, contact Rootsy Customer Support.

When reporting a technical issue, include the error message and a screenshot if possible. Never include passwords or verification codes.
